Why is strength-resistance training important?

Strength-resistance training has been a major component of fitness training, health restoration, sports medicine, performance enhancement and injury rehabilitation programs for years. The benefits of progressive resistance training - improved muscle strength, cardiovascular health, and flexibility - are also important to general health. In fact, the American College of Sports Medicine's guidelines for maintaining optimum muscular and cardiorespiratory fitness recommend a minimum of three strength/anaerobic training and three aerobic activity sessions each week.

How much time does training take?

A professionally designed fitness, sports or rehabilitation aftercare training program will condense an entire day's worth of exercise conditioning into an hour. It's easy to find the time to train at Fitness Doctors because we adapt to your busy schedule. Early mornings, late evenings, or any time in between, we're ready when you are.

Is this right for me?

We work with people of all ages, from elementary school age to senior citizens. Your fitness, sports or rehabilitation program will be designed to meet your current condition, your goals and schedule. Training at Fitness Doctors means more than just changing your lifestyle. It's a way for you to have fun and be good to yourself. Your trainer is here to educate, motivate and encourage you while you pursue your goals.

Whether you want to increase your energy, alter body composition, contour your body, improve sports performance, or improve cardiovascular and muscular fitness, we'll be with you every step of the way.
